Newcastle United are considering making a cut-price move for Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha, according to the Mirror.
The 21 year old spent the second half of last season with Cardiff City where he made twelve appearances but was ultimately unable to help them secure their top flight status.
He now he looks set to secure a permanent move away from Old Trafford, less than twelve months after making his debut in last season’s Community Shield victory over Wigan Athletic at Wembley.
Newcastle, who ended last season in dismal form by losing eight of their final ten games, turned down the chance to sign the England international for just £100,000 three years ago but are now leading the race to secure his services.
Alan Pardew’s side begin the forthcoming campaign by welcoming champions Manchester City to St James Park, and the home win can be backed at a price of 4/1.
