The Sun has revealed that Newcastle are keeping close tabs on PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet.
With current number one Tim Krul heavily linked with St James’ Park exit, the Magpies are forced to search for potential replacements.
According to The Sun, Newcastle are currently looking at PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet.
The Premier League side have been told they need to pay £7 million for the 22-year-old footballer, even though he could have been signed for a lot less just few months ago.
Zoet has, however, impressed since returning from loan spell at RKC Waalwijk, making 8 Eredivisie starts, while featuring in five European games.
The player is reportedly happy in Eindhoven, but an offer from English Premier League might prove too good to resist.
Much will depend on whether his compatriot Tim Krul leaves Newcastle in the January transfer window, with a number of Premier League clubs showing interest in the Netherlands international.
