The Daily Telegraph reports that Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan has made an £8 million transfer bid to bring Chelsea’s French international winger Florent Malouda to St James’ Park.
Twenty-Eight year old Malouda has so far failed to make any impression in the Premier League with Chelsea and also had a very disappointing tournament with France in this summer’s European Championships.
It could be a good move for Malouda who might get a new lease of life with a change of clubs and it could be a good move for Chelsea to recover that sort of money for a man who hasn’t produced the goods. From what I’ve seen, I’m not entirely convinced that it would be a great move for Newcastle.
