Premier League underachievers Newcastle United have endured mixed fortunes in their first season back in the top flight.
Having failed to get the reinforcements he wanted during the summer transfer window, Rafa Benitez has been given a green light to boost his squad during winter and Newcastle United have already announced the arrival of Chelsea winger Kenedy on loan until the end of the season.
It appears Magpies are far from finished this January as they look to bring more firepower to their ranks and are currently being linked with a move for a striker who could act as a replacement and improvement for misfiring Joselu.
The Spaniard scored only four goals this season and with Benitez not counting on Aleksandar Mitrovic it is being reported that Magpies are preparing a move for the 27-year-old Feyenoord forward Nicolai Jorgensen.
What’s more, German media outlet Bild claims Newcastle have also set their sights on Hertha Berlin forward Davie Selke who has seen his stock go through an astronomic rise this season, ever since he left RB Leipzig for the Berlin-based side.
Selke scored nine goals in 16 Bundesliga appearances for Hertha.
