Newcastle United have been doing better this season than most of their fans actually expected, especially after the departure of Rafael Benitez. However, under Steve Bruce, the Magpies are doing okay, but apparently they want to become even more stable in the Premier League. On Tuesday, they announced a new deal that was mentioned in the transfer rumour mills in the past few days.
They signed Nabil Bentaleb on a six-month loan from Schalke 04, as he did not play enough at the Bundesliga outfit. Bentaleb is still just 25 and will be hoping to shine under the lights of Premier League and St James’ Park. According to Sky Sports, Newcastle will have an option to buy him for 8.5 million pounds, whether it be during the season or just before the loan ends.
The loan deal is set to cost Steve Bruce’s side 850k pounds, with the Magpies paying all of Bentaleb’s wages while he is on Tyneside.
