Newcastle made to work for Ruiz

According to a recent report from AS, Fabian Ruiz turned down a lot of money from Newcastle United in the January transfer window.

It’s no secret that Newcastle are going to be big, big players in the transfer market for the next couple of years. Sure, they need to fend off the threat of relegation first, but once they’ve secured survival they can begin to look ahead to the future.

A variety of top names are likely to feature in that feature including Fabian Ruiz. While the Napoli midfielder didn’t opt to make the move to Tyneside at the start of the year, there’s every chance the Magpies could get lucky the second time around.

That’s because he’s going to cost them €60 million which is a fee, in the current climate, they’re willing to pay.

Ruiz may need to see some improvements on the pitch first but either way things are looking up for Eddie Howe’s men.
