According to Sky Sports, Newcastle have just made a fourth offer to Crystal Palace for the services of Marc Guehi.
The Magpies’ previous offer amounted to a total of £60 million, and this latest one is believed to be in the region of Palace’s demanded price of £65m. The talks between the two clubs continue as they now seek an agreement over the payment structure. Only a few days ago, Palace chairman Steve Parish said no club had come close to their valuation of the 24-year-old England international, but that appears to have changed now.
Guehi, who has made a total of 111 appearances for the Eagles since joining the club from Chelsea in 2021 for a fee of around £20m, played very well at Euro 2024, helping England reach the final. His talent and performances have reportedly attracted interest from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal, but Newcastle are obviously the only suitor acting decisively at this point.
