Premier League outfit Newcastle United are showing interest in Sevilla striker Kevin Gameiro, according to Sunday People.
The Magpies’ attacking problems have been well documented, and it is clear the club are on the lookout for a quality centre forward.
Sunday People has learned that Sevilla star Kevin Gameiro is high on their wish list, with chief scout Graham Carr watching the Frenchman in midweek’s Europa League win over Villarreal.
The diminutive striker was in excellent form on the night, scoring a goal and setting up another as Europa League holders enjoyed a 3-1 triumph at El Madrigal.
Gameiro, 27, continues to play second fiddle to Carlos Bacca at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and he could be leaving los Rojiblancos at the end of the season.
The Frenchman has impressed every time he was called into action this season, bagging 12 goals in 11 starts.
After coming on the verge of quarter-finals, Sevilla are available at 6/1 to defend the Europa League trophy.
