The Mirror understands that Newcastle United have told Jack Colback that he can find a new club.
The twenty-eight year old made the controversial switch from Wearside to Tyneside when he signed from Sunderland in the summer of 2014.
He racked up eighty-five league appearances across his first three campaigns for the club but is yet to feature so far this season, while he hasn’t even been named on the bench for any of Newcastle’s games this term.
Prior to his switch to St James’s Park he played one hundred and thirty-five times for Sunderland, scoring five times while he also had two loan spells with Ipswich Town early on in his career.
Internationally, he was capped once by England’s U20s but is yet to gain any senior recognition.
Newcastle host Luton Town in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon, and are 2/5 to win the match inside ninety minutes.
