According to The Telegraph, Newcastle will make their move for out-of-favour Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe apparently wanted Ramsdale in his ranks back in his days as the Bournemouth boss, and now he’s asked his current club to try and bring the England international to St. James’ Park.
There were reports suggesting a deal had been already agreed between the two clubs, but Ramsdale himself has played such claims down, posting it was news for him on X.
News to me 😂

Nonetheless, The Telegraph insist that their sources have informed them the Magpies’ interest is indeed real, and that they’re willing to pay £15 million for the transfer to happen. Ramsdale was previously linked with Chelsea, along with Everton’s Jordan Pickford.
The 26-year-old lost his place between the posts for Arsenal with the arrival of David Raya last summer, and the Brentford loanee, who is expected to remain permanently at the Emirates, has justified the faith of manager Mikel Arteta by winning the Premier League Golden Glove award for 2023/24.
