Newcastle set to sign Alli

Newcastle United are closing in on the signing of MK Dons starlet Dele Alli, according to the Mail Online.

The Premier League outfit are ready to pay an initial fee of £4m for the eighteen year old – a figure that will rise to £5m will add-ons.

Newcastle will also loan the midfielder back to Karl Robinson’s side for the remainder of this campaign, as they continue to chase promotion to the Championship.

The England U19 international, who has also been linked with moves to Arsenal and Liverpool, broke into the MK Dons first team two years ago, and he has impressed with eighteen goals in seventy-one appearances in all competitions.

The North East side, who today announced that John Carver will be their manager until the end of the season, struck similar deals with Jamal Lascelles and Karl Darlow, who have both returned to Championship side Nottingham Forest until the summer.
