Competition: EFL Cup
Market: Newcastle to win against Hull
Odds: 5/4 @ Bet 365

Championship promotion-chasers Newcastle United travel to the KCOM Stadium to face relegation-threatened Premier League outfit Hull City in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup this evening, and are favourites to come out on top given their outstanding form this season compared to the woes of the hosts.

Home side Hull City have struggled for wins under Mike Phelan this season, having managed just one victory in their last eight in all competitions ahead of tonight’s clash. The Tigers have suffered six defeats in this time too, and are being tipped to come unstuck with their form at home being such a disappointment.

City have lost three and drawn one of their last five home games, and face a Newcastle United side boasting the best away record in their domestic league by some distance. The Magpies are coming off the back of eight wins from their last nine games in all competitions, winning their last four away games too.

As a result, Newcastle are being given odds of 5/4 with Bet 365 to see past Hull City at the KCOM Stadium to reach the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.
