Market: Newcastle and Arsenal to draw
Odds: 39/11 @ 888 Sport

Newcastle United lock horns with Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, with the Magpies still awaiting their first league win of the season. Currently just one place above the relegation zone with two points from their first three games, Steve McClaren’s side need a result this weekend to ensure they don’t finish in the bottom three.

As for Arsenal, the visitors are also suffering from indifferent form this season, with only four points amassed from a possible nine so far this campaign. They are currently in the top-half of the table, but need a win today to keep up the pressure on the title-chasing sides currently above them in the standings.

Newcastle started the season poorly, but have slowly come into some form in recent weeks. They earned an impressive draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford, and followed that up with a convincing win against Northampton in the Capital One Cup, so McClaren’s men welcome the visit of Arsenal in much better shape to threaten a surprise result.

Arsenal are unsurprisingly the favourites to come out on top in this weekend’s clash, but the Londoners are suffering from key injuries to their defence, as well as question marks over the fitness of their attacking players. And being the travelling side to face a somewhat resurgent Newcastle team could see them falling short in their bid to pick up all three points on the road.
