Newcastle United eye Manchester United’s Scott McTominay

Newcastle United are interested in signing Scott McTominay from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. West Ham United, Everton, Southampton and Leicester City are also reported to be keen on securing the services of the 25-year-old Scotland international midfielder this summer.

McTominay is a homegrown Manchester United talent and has established himself as an important player in the first team. The 25-year-old has made 122 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career, scoring 11 goals and creating six big chances in the process.

Manchester United have agreed a deal with Real Madrid to sign Brazil international defensive midfielder Casemiro in the summer transfer window. With Fred also in the Red Devils’ squad, this means more competition for McTominay. However, Manchester United are not actively looking to sell the Scotsman, who himself has not asked to leave.
