Newcastle United are interested in signing Said Benrahma from Brentford before the summer transfer window in England closes on Friday, according to The Daily Star. Premier League rivals West Ham United and Fulham are also reported to want the Algeria international from his Championship club, who value him at £20 million.
Benrahma – who can play as a forward or as a winger – scored 17 goals and provided four assists in the Championship for Brentford last season, according to WhoScored. Back in the 2018-19 campaign, the 25-year-old scored 10 goals and provided 14 assists in 29 league starts, according to WhoScored.
The Algeria international has been very successful in the Championship, and time has come for the 25-year-old to move to the Premier League. The attacker will make Newcastle a better and more potent team in attack, with the Magpies aiming to finish in the top 10 of the Premier League table this season.
