Newcastle United are interested in signing Manchester United attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. Lingard is out of contract at Manchester United at the end of the season and will be available as a free agent.
Lingard was reportedly close to moving to Newcastle from Manchester United in the January transfer window. The 29-year-old has made two starts and 14 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Red Devils so far this season, providing one assist in the process.
Newcastle are ninth in the Premier League table at the moment with 43 points from 34 matches, while Manchester United are currently sixth in the standings with 54 points from 34 games.
