Newcastle United are interested in signing Dean Henderson from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that Newcastle are leading the race for the England international goalkeeper, who himself is keen on leaving Old Trafford.
Henderson is the back-up goalkeeper to David de Gea at Manchester United and is struggling for playing time at the moment. The 25-year-old has played once each in the Champions League, the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup for the Red Devils so far this season.
Newcastle are 14th in the Premier League table at the moment with 31 points from 29 matches. Meanwhile, Manchester United currently find themselves sixth in the standings with 50 points from 29 matches.
