Newcastle United are interested in signing Joe Rodon from Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window, according to The Telegraph. Newcastle want to sign the former Swansea City central defender on loan from Premier League rivals Tottenham next month.
Rodon is struggling for playing time at Tottenham, who could be open to sending out the 24-year-old Wales international out on loan. The Wales international has made 13 appearances in the Premier League for Spurs so far in his career.
Newcastle are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season. The Magpies are struggling defensively at the moment and need to make defensive reinforcements. Eddie Howe’s side are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 10 points from 18 matches.
