Newcastle United are interested in signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, according to The Mirror. The report has claimed that Newcastle are planning to make a bid of £30 million for the Denmark international midfielder, and that Tottenham could sell at the right price.
Hojbjerg is an important player for Tottenham and has become a key figure in the team under head coach Antonio Conte. The 26-year-old has scored two goals and given two assists in 31 Premier League appearances so far this season.
Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 58 points from 33 matches, two points behind fourth-placed and bitter North London rivals Arsenal.
