Premier League outfit Newcastle United are hot on the trail of Benfica striker Luka Jovic, A Bola has quoted English media as saying.
The Magpies are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements having managed mere 33 goals in 32 Premier League matches this season.
And with Aleksandar Mitrovic likely to be sold after a successful loan stint with Fulham, the Magpies are now looking at Luka Jovic.
The 20-year-old has largely impressed since joining Eintracht Frankfurt on loan last summer and he now has 8 goals in just 711 minutes of Bundesliga football.
The German outfit are reportedly set to trigger a €12.5 million buy-out clause, meaning they could be the club Newcastle need to negotiate if they want to bring Jovic to St James’ Park.
