Newcastle United keen on Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams

Newcastle United are interested in signing Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Newcastle have identified Williams as a key target and have been impressed with his attributes.

However, Newcastle are not going to find it easy to bring Williams to St. James’ Park in the summer transfer window. Fichajes has claimed that Barcelona are also keen on securing the services of the 21-year-old Spain international winger, who is one of the best young players in the league.

Williams has made 26 starts and two substitute appearances in La Liga for Athletic this season. He has scored four goals and given 10 assists in those games. Bilbao are fifth in the La Liga table at the moment with 61 points from 34 matches, six points behind Atletico Madrid, who are fourth.
