Newcastle United linked with Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney

Newcastle United are interested in signing Kieran Tierney from Premier League rivals Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph. The report has claimed that Newcastle are looking to bring in a new left-back this summer and that one of the players on their radar is Tierney. The Magpies want a loan deal, but the Gunners would prefer a permanent sale.

Tierney has been on the books of Arsenal since the summer of 2019 when he joined from Scottish Premiership giants Celtic. The Scotland international has done relatively well when he has played, but he has had injury problems.

The 26-year-old has made 91 appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal so far in his career. Tierney has scored three goals, provided eight assists, and kept 19 clean sheets in those matches. Arsenal finished second in the Premier League table last season and will be aiming to win the title this campaign.
