Newcastle United linked with Genoa defender Radu Dragusin

Newcastle United are interested in signing Radu Dragusin from Genoa in the January transfer window, according to CM. The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that if Newcastle make a bid of €40 million for Dragusin, then Genoa could sell him in the middle of the season.

Dragusin has made five appearances in Serie A for Genoa so far this season. The 21-year-old Romania international defender made five starts and two substitute appearances in Serie A for Salernitana in 2021-22.

Newcastle United are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with nine points from six matches, five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur. The Magpies are also aiming to make an impact in the UEFA Champions League. Meanwhile, Genoa currently find themselves 16th in the Serie A standings with four points from five games, one point above the relegation zone.
