Newcastle United are interested in signing Nicolo Barella from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that the Premier League club are about to make a bid to the Serie A outfit for the Italy international midfielder.
The report has claimed that Newcastle, who will play in the UEFA Champions League next season after finishing in the Premier League top four this past campaign, are ready to pay £50 million in transfer fees for Barella. The midfielder is happy at Inter and may need some persuasion for him to leave the former Serie A and UEFA Champions League winners.
Barella made 31 starts and four substitute appearances in Serie A for Inter this past season, scoring six goals and providing six assists in the process. The Inter no. 23 also played 12 times in the UEFA Champions League for the Nerazzurri this past campaign, scoring three goals in the process.
