Newcastle United are interested in signing Dean Henderson from Premier League rivals Manchester United, according to The Daily Mail. It has been reported that Henderson wants to leave the Red Devils if he is unable to take over from David de Gea as the first-choice goalkeeper at Old Trafford.
De Gea struggled on occasions last season, and at one point it seemed that Henderson was going to establish himself as the first choice. However, the Spain international has been very good for the Red Devils so far this season and is back as the number one between the posts.
Newcastle are reportedly interested in signing Henderson, who has had loan spells at Stockport County, Grimsby Town, Shrewsbury Town and Sheffield United. The Magpies are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with five points from 11 matches, while the Red Devils are sixth in the standings with 17 points from 11 games.
