Newcastle United linked with Marc Bernal

Newcastle United are interested in signing Marc Bernal from Barcelona, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Premier League club Newcastle are willing to trigger the release clause of Bernal and bring him to St James’ Park.

Bernal is rated as one of the best young players at Barcelona and is a star for the future. The 17-year-old defensive midfielder has come through Barcelona’s youth academy and has established himself as part of the first-team squad. The Spain Under-17 international has made three appearances in La Liga for Barcelona this season.

Newcastle are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 10 points from five matches, a point behind fourth-placed Arsenal. As for Barcelona, the Blaugrana currently find themselves at the top of the La Liga table with 21 points from seven games, four points ahead of second-placed and defending champions Real Madrid.
