Newcastle United are in talks with Leicester City over a potential move for Harvey Barnes in the summer transfer window, according to The Times. The report has claimed that the Magpies could get a deal done for the winger for £35 million.
The Times have claimed that Barnes himself is keen on a move to Newcastle this summer. The Magpies will play in the UEFA Champions League next season after finishing in the top four of the Premier League table last campaign. As for Leicester City, the Foxes will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League.
Barnes made 32 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Leicester last season. The 25-year-old England international scored 13 goals and gave one assist in those games. Newcastle would be a better team with Barnes in it.
