Newcastle United will not pursue a move for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial, according to Football Insider. Martial wants to leave Manchester United in the January transfer window, as he is increasingly frustrated with lack of playing time at Old Trafford.
Premier League rivals Newcastle have been linked with Martial, but Football Insider have reported that the Magpies have decided not to make a move for the 26-year-old France international forward. The Frenchman was offered to the Magpies as a potential target, but manager Eddie Howe has decided to turn it down.
Martial has scored 56 goals in 174 appearances in the Premier League for Manchester United so far in his career. The 26-year-old has made two starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League, and one start and one substitute appearance in the Champions League so far this season.
