Newcastle United are interested in signing Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana, according to 90min. However, Newcastle will face competition in their quest to sign the Cameroon international. Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan are also keen on securing the services of the 25-year-old.
Onana is out of contract at Ajax at the end of the season and is unlikely to sign a new deal with the Dutch giants. The 25-year-old is one of the best goalkeepers in the Eredivisie, and a move to Premier League club Newcastle could well appeal to him.
When fit and available, Martin Dubravka is the first-choice goalkeeper at Newcastle. However, the Slovakia international is 32 now. Newcastle have recently appointed Eddie Howe as their new manager, and he will be determined to keep the team in the Premier League next season.
