Newcastle United want to sign Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea

Newcastle United are interested in signing Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea in the January transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that Bayern Munich, Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Fulham are also keen on securing the services of Chalobah in the middle of the season.

90min has added that Chalobah, who can play as a defensive midfielder or as a defender, himself is keen on leaving Chelsea in the January transfer window. The 24-year-old is struggling for playing time at the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners and does not see his future at Stamford Bridge.

Newcastle are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with 13 points from eight matches, seven points behind Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, who are first and respectively in the standings. Meanwhile, Chelsea currently find themselves 11th in the standings with 11 points from eight matches.
