According to a report from Sky Italia, Monaco defender Antonio Barreca is said to be located towards the top of Newcastle United’s wish list when it comes to potential left back signings. The 23 year old has had a pretty solid start to life with the Ligue 1 club after making his big money move over from Torino in the summer.
Barreca jumped ship from Italy to France for a fee believed to be around £10 million, after spending 16 years with Torino from his days in the youth setup. The Magpies, on the other hand, are looking into a series of different possibilities when it comes to transfers, as Rafa Benitez continues to try and make something happen in the window.
They’re also said to be interested in Stanley N’Soki, who they were also interested in during this past summer transfer window, but Barreca is still believed to be at the top of the priority list.
