Newcastle want Borini?

According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Premier League side Newcastle United are interested in the possibility of going after AC Milan forward Fabio Borini. The general belief is that he is not wanted by Milan anymore, but of course, the bigger story here is that Borini is a former Sunderland player – aka the arch rivals of the Magpies.

Borini has even had a series of big moments against Newcastle over the years, but now, it seems as if he could end up pulling on the famous black and white strip himself. One of the key issues that needs resolving this summer for Newcastle is determining who is going to take over from Rafa Benitez, but beyond that, the need to add some fire power to their ranks.

Borini isn’t well known for his goalscoring prowess, but he is certainly one of the hardest working forwards in European football today.
