Newcastle want Koulibaly

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Newcastle United’s potential new owners are interested in the prospect of trying to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli if they’re able to complete the takeover. The expectation is that the defender will indeed leave the Italian giants during the summer transfer window, and with a valuation of €80 million, the Magpies will have more than enough cash necessary to push through some kind of deal.

He’s been viewed as a legitimate target by the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain in the past, but now, Newcastle look set to storm to the front of the queue.

They could quite easily become one of the true superpowers of world football if they can push this deal through in the right way, and with that comes the power to sign some of the best players in the game. Koulibaly, as expected, falls under that description.
