According to reports in Italy, AC Milan are open to the idea of selling Diego Laxalt. The 25 year old has been at the San Siro for less than six months, but things don’t appear to have worked out quite as well as was initially hoped. The Uruguay international, who represented his country this past summer at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, made the switch to Milan from Genoa where he had spent the previous three years of his career. While he certainly seems to favour Italian football, it appears as if there could be another top division in his future.
That’s because Newcastle United are believed to be the side most interested in signing him. The Magpies have had a poor start to the campaign and are in desperate need of a few signings in January, and it would appear as if Rafa Benitez is being exceedingly ambitious – which can only be a good thing.
