A report from the Independent suggests that Newcastle will only accept offers for their prized assets if they are too good to turn down.
Three of the Magpies star men – Captain Fabricio Coloccini, Cheick Tiote and Yohan Cabaye have all been linked with moves away from the Sports Direct Arena but Alan Pardew is set to do all he can to keep them all at the club.
English Premier League clubs Tottenham and Arsenal have both been keen on Cabaye and Tiote, whilst Manchester City are said to be admires of Coloccini.
The North East side of course had a fantastic campaign last time out and will know that if they are to emulate their success then they must not lost their best players in the transfer window.
With just a couple of days left before the deadline, Pardew can be confident of keeping these three in his squad and only a massive offer would see them leave Newcastle.
The Gunners and Spurs look to be two of the busiest teams between now and the end of the month as both have money to spend.
We are in for a fascinating few days and plenty of deals could still go through.
