Despite failing to secure a move away from the Parc des Princes this summer, Neymar could still do so in January, his former agent and family friend Wagner Ribeiro believes.
Neymar was the subject of heavy interest from Real Madrid, along with Barcelona who tried to bring him back to the Camp Nou. In the end, neither of the two Spanish giants were successful and the Brazilian stayed put. He has now been forced to try and make peace with the Ligue 1 champions and their fans, who weren’t very subtle in expressing their feelings towards him.
But Ribeiro claims the situation could still easily change in January. As reported by Sport, he isn’t worried about the fans; he’s certain that their love for the superstar forward will return in full as soon as he finds the opposition net. However, he also says that there will be a “discount” on the amount to be paid for Neymar’s services, and that may bring the interested parties back to the negotiating table quickly.
