Having broken the world transfer record with the acquisition of Neymar from Barcelona in 2017, Paris Saint-Germain are in advanced talks with the Catalan club over the possibility of sending the Brazilian star back, according to The Times.
Neymar himself is apparently very keen on ending his “troubled” two-year stint at the Parc Des Princes, with neither him nor the Ligue 1 champions happy with what they got from the deal. Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently said that he would not tolerate “star behaviour” in the future.
Meanwhile, Philippe Coutinho has had a similarly torrid time at Camp Nou since his €160 million transfer from Liverpool in January 2018, and it appears a swap deal seeing the two Brazilians go in the opposite directions may be on the cards. Coutinho has thoroughly failed to justify the money spent on his services and take a prominent role at the Catalan club.
Barcelona are willing to pay PSG around €100 million and throw either Coutinho or Ousmane Dembele on top of that to get Neymar back, and it appears the matter has been developing in the direction of Coutinho being the one to make the Paris switch.
