Neymar recently visited his former teammates at Barcelona in training and according to Marca, he spoke about his immediate future.
The Brazilian star was asked to comment on rumours of his potential move to Real Madrid, and he simply replied that he has a contract with Paris Saint-Germain and that he has no intention of replacing the French capital with the Spanish any time soon.
Real parted ways with their main man Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, and several names have been touted as potential replacements for the Portuguese – none as prominent in media reports as Neymar. It would certainly be a heavy blow for the Catalan club if he were to join their greatest rival.
Neymar left Barcelona to join PSG last summer for a world-record transfer fee, reportedly €222million, and many believe he chose that move in order to escape being in the shadow of Lionel Messi. With Ronaldo gone, it’s plausible he would be able to take the main role in Real’s attacking line, but it appears unlikely at the moment. He seems happy in Paris, and Madrid president Florentino Perez reportedly has no problem with relying on Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema for goals.
