Neymar snubs Chelsea

(GSM) – Santos’ highly-rate youngster Neymar has snubbed an offer from Premier League champions Chelsea in favor of staying in Brazil.

The 18-year-old forward has extended his Santos contract by five years and will be on a higher salary.

“The final decision is always the player’s. I spoke to my dad and my family and we decided to stay, I’m happy, it’s what I want,” Neymar, who emerged at Santos last season as ‘the new Robinho’, told a news conference.

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is believed to be keen on signing a forward and with Neymar snubbing the Blues’ advances, the Italian tactician will now have to look elsewhere.
