Neymar wants Messi reunion

“What I want most of all is to play with Messi again, to be able to enjoy him once again on the pitch,” Neymar told ESPN after PSG’s midweek win.

“He can play in my place, I have no problem with that. But I want to play with him next year, for sure. We have to do it next season.”

Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar has made it crystal clear that he wants to play with former teammate Lionel Messi next season.

The Argentine made it clear that he wanted to leave the Spanish giants Barcelona during the most recent summer transfer window, but after Josep Maria Bartomeu insisted that his €700 million release clause was met, Messi decided against a legal battle and instead chose to stay put at the Nou Camp.

The veteran’s contract with Barca is set to expire at the end of the season, meaning that from January, he will be able to negotiate with other clubs – and PSG may be on the list.
