According to a recent report from The Guardian, West Ham United youngster Jeremy Ngakia has rejected an offer to remain at the club until the end of the current Premier League season. The teenage sensation is out of contract at the end of June, and instead of committing his future to the Hammers, he’s decided that he wants to go elsewhere. The belief is that a string of clubs will immediately be interested in bringing him on but even if that isn’t the case, his talents will likely be too much for some teams to ignore sooner or later.
For now, questions have to be raised regarding West Ham’s ability to keep hold of some of their best youngsters. They were once considered to be one of the best academy clubs in the country, but as the years have gone on, that reputation has slowly but surely evaporated – potentially for good.
