Milan striker M’Baye Niang believes he has made the right choice in joining the Rossoneri this summer.
The talented forward was paired with a number of high-profile sides during his time at Caen, but ultimately opted for the Serie A giants.
The 17-year-old has already made one substitute appearance in Serie A, while also playing for Milan’s youth squad in order to gain some match fitness.
“I still have to work hard in order to convince coach Massimiliano Allegri to focus on me and make my impact on Italian football,” Niang told Italian TV station Sport Italia.
The player also revealed that he had received an offer from Everton before deciding to sign for the Rossoneri.
“I definitely made the right decision choosing Milan and turning down the Everton option.”
The French club chiefs decided to cash in on their prized asset after Caen were relegated to Ligue 2.
Despite his fragile age, the striker already has several first team seasons behind him, although he has yet to make an impact at senior level.
In total, Niang has made 30 Ligue 1 appearances for Caen, scoring 5 goals in process.
