Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola understands that Nice are close to signing Brazilian midfielder Danilo Barbosa from Sporting Braga.
The 22-year-old did well to get his career back on track following disappointing spells with Valencia, Standard Liege and Benfica, producing 4 goals and 3 assists in 31 league outings this season.
It has to be noted that the holding midfielder only started 15 of those games, but he still managed to catch the eye of Ligue 1 high-flyers Nice.
With Jean-Michael Seri widely expected to leave this summer, les Aiglons have launched an assault on Danilo Barbosa, and they are reportedly close to wrapping up the deal.
According to reports, Barbosa is set to undergo a medical in Nice ahead of joining the Stade Allianz Riviera outfit.
