Nice cool Lingard interest

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Nice have cooled their interest in Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard.

The longer that the transfer window goes on the more likely it seems that Lingard is going to remain at Old Trafford, which seems somewhat odd given that he looked destined to depart the club at the start of the window. Nice’s club president Jean-Pierre Rivere played down the possibility of a loan move after initial discussions had taken place and for whatever reason, things have continued to stall.

Lingard was once viewed as one of the most influential players the England national team had at their disposal, but it really doesn’t feel like that’s the case for quite some time. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t see him as a regular starter anymore, and the man himself clearly wants to search for new career opportunities – but he may not get that chance this month.
