Portuguese daily newspaper Record claims that Nice are readying bid for Sporting CP winger Ezequiel Schelotto.
The 28-year-old did well to revive his career at Estadio Jose Alvalade, but it would appear as though he is not in Jorge Jesus’ first team plans for the new season.
According to reports, Nice plan to take advantage of the opportunity and sign the former Italy international.
Les Aiglons were told it would take €5 million to sign the experienced footballer, meaning the ball is now in their court.
Capable of operating on either side in defence or midfield, Schelotto could prove a real asset for Nice, especially if les Aiglons qualify for the group stage of either Champions League or Europa League.
At the same time, the Ligue 1 high-flyers have been showing interest in FC Porto midfielder Andre Andre.
