According to a recent report from L’Equipe, Nice manager Patrick Vieira is very interested in taking a look at possibly signing Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
With Ligue 1 finishing early as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the focus for most French clubs has shifted towards the summer transfer window. Nice had a solid campaign in Ligue 1, but now, they’re aiming to improve and grow as a team – to the point where they could try and become top dogs in the top flight.
Schneiderlin certainly seems like a realistic target, but it’ll all come down to the kind of value that manager Carlo Ancelotti sees in him. If the veteran doesn’t want to let him go and believes that he could play an integral role in the development of the operation he’s trying to put together, Nice will probably up short. Then again, he may need to raise some funds for transfers of his own in the next few months.
