Ligue 1 side Nice are considering a bid for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Mathieu Bodmer, reports L’Equipe.
The 30-year-old is among players expected to leave Parc des Princes this summer, and he should have no shortage of offers.
Stoke City, Toulouse and Real Betis are all showing interest, with Nice the latest club believed to be keen on the experienced midfielder.
Les Aiglons boss Claude Puel, who coached Bodmer at Lille and Lyon, is eager to get reunited with the highly rated midfielder, hoping that the player would prefer to remain in French Ligue 1.
Bodmer, who spent the second part of last season on loan at Saint Etienne, has a contract that is due to expire at the end of the current campaign, meaning he should be available on the cheap.
The towering midfielder has represented Caen, Lille, Lyon, PSG and Saint Etienne in his career, making a total of 358 Ligue 1 appearances and scoring 37 goals.
