Brazilian striker Pereira de Mello Adeilson signed for French First Division side Nice on Saturday for a million euros from Brazilian outfit Ipatinga.
The 23-year-old signed a three-and-a-half year contract with Nice, who are currently eighth in the championship race.
Nice sporting director Roger Ricort, who had watched Adeilson play twice for Ipatinga, said that he was an ideal signing.
“He is typical of our strikers,” said Ricort. “He is fast and strikes well with both feet.
“We don't consider him like a reinforcement but as a supplement to our forward line which we are pleased with. We will take our time to adapt to him.”
