Spanish daily newspaper Marca understands that Argentine defender Nicolas Pareja will be joining Sevilla on permanent basis in the summer.
The 30-year-old arrived at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on loan from Spartak Moscow, but the only reason why the transfer was not made permanent in the first place was to avoid paying additional tax.
According to Marca, Sevilla have an agreement in place to purchase the player for €2.5 million and there are no doubts los Rojiblancos will exercise the clause.
Nico Pareja will in turn put pen to paper on a contract until June 2017 with Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan outfit.
Sevilla boss Unai Emery was keen to sign the experience defender having coached him at Spartak Moscow, while sporting director Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo agreed he would be a great signing for the club.
Los Rojiblancos remain on course for a top 7 finish and Europa League qualification and they are priced at 10/11 to defeat high-flying Real Sociedad next time out.
