Nicolas Gaitan back in high demand

Portuguese daily newspaper Record has suggested that Europe’s top sides are again casting admiring glances Nicolas Gaitan’s way.

Not so long ago, the Argentine winger was one of world’s most sought-after footballers, but the interest in his services has cooled off recently, which had to do something with the €35 million asking price.

However, with the 27-year-old producing another amazing display at the biggest stage to help Benfica record an invaluable win over Galatasaray, Record claims that high-profile sides are again taking notice.

Even if he eventually got himself sent off for two bookable offences, Gaitan was the best player on the pitch and even earned praise from Galatasaray star Wesley Sneijder.

The likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Atletico Madrid are all believed to be keen and there is a chance at least one of those sides will decide to step up their interest in the Argentina international in the winter.
